Somedays I wonder where I come up with half this stuff, considering that I really am not active in the dating scene personally. But I do and so I share.

Why do we give ourselves away so easy? This was a question I had to ask. Is it instinct and just a call out for attention. Sure there is an attraction, but what else? I really believe it is a call out for attention. This behavior is driven more from emotion then from desire. The need to bond with another person and feel the closeness of a relationship without having to commit to one or expect one. Has our generation really lost all faith in LOVE? The tenderness of making love, sex or heavy petting (if you want a G-rated word), honestly is not a casual act. It is a beautiful moment when two adults (yes just had a mom moment) share more then just conversation and fun, they give to eachother all of themselves in a way that can not be shared with more then one other. Ok ok, it could, but remember G-rated here.
As you all know, I have been getting out of my cave lately and doing some people watching and I truely am shocked. Sure it is a great feeling when someone is attracted to you and all thier attention is on you, right now at least. But what about tomorrow, will they still be there to tell you how lovely you are or how you light a fire in them like no other. Truth be told 98% of the time the answer is NO, yep you heard me, NO NO and NO again. A night of passion is not the a love of a life time, nor will it fill that empty feeling you have inside while you are home alone tomorrow watching Larry the Cable Guy on TV. The only thing you gain from this will be a memory and sometimes it is not a good one either LOL.
Holding out, saving yourself, what ever you want to call it is not a bad thing. Personally, it is my way of saying "I like you". There are so many other ways to show tenderness without getting naked. It can be in a touch or a soft kiss and my all time favorite, a hug. No not the see ya tomorrow kind, but that strong arms around your body, I can feel your heart beat, don't let go kind of hug that last forever but never long enough. NOW THAT drives me crazy and when I get THAT, well I really don't need anything else except a simple goodnight.
Love yourself or no one else will!!

Oh Rocky we really are a lost bunch aren't we? How easy it could be to be what they want but how hard it is to live with it! I agree completely! Although it is that tender kiss ~ lips only tender kiss that makes me weak in the knee's:)
